Sliding shoe rack

Client: Jonathan Eagles
Location: South East
Application: Shoe Rack

It’s the same old problem. Shoes. What to do with them and where to put them, but whereas most men have quailed at the problem – and no doubt the price – one of our well heeled customers stepped up to the challenge.

With a small space to work with Jonathan needed to rack and stack ‘their’ shoes in such away that they would be able to slide out from the wall when the wardrobe door was opened. The design was simple and Jonathan chose to use the RA414 telescopic slide at 400mm. The RA414 is a steel 4 beam compact slide, favoured for it’s smooth and silent operating motion as well as its price.

Conclusion: “Fantastic. Thanks very much for the service and the slide. The shoe rack works perfectly.” Jonathan

Reinforced Ball Cage For Extra Strength

posted in: Product Review | 0

You may have noticed that some of our heavy duty slides have a ‘R’ attached to the product name. For example, RA7R and the RA5R. The ‘R’ denotes that these slides are ‘Reinforced’, but what makes them extra strong? And how does that benefit customers?

Whether it’s stainless steel or steel, whether the slides are zinc plated or ionised for extra strength, choosing our reinforced slides not only means an increase of load capacity, but also due to their construction, these slides are less likely to buck and twist during heavy use.

They key is our unique ball cages, which ‘carries’ the slide on the vertical and horizontal plane, cushioning the load on two rows of additional ball-bearings. This means an even spread of weight a long the slide and allows a smoother and more regular movement even when carrying extreme loads.

Introducing our Latest Heavy Duty Slide…

posted in: Lead Story | 0

ChambrelanWith the announcement of a price freeze across Chambrelan’s entire range of heavy duty slides and linear rail motion systems at the end of last year, we’re following up the good news with an exciting round of product launches, the first being a brand new heavy duty slidelaunched in January 2014.

The new ST558 is at the extreme end of the range. As a 4 beam slide made from cold drawn stainless steel section this slide has been designed to handle massive loads even when over extended. Using a hardened profile, which reduces bucking and twisting, the ST558 also rides on a set of stainless steel ball-bearings which spread loads more evenly.

Ideal for high temperature applications, marine and offshore projects, without modifications the ST558 can operate at temperatures ranging from -20c to 80c, but with modifications one can increase the operating temperature range from -50 to 250c.

Where food safety is important, the ST558 can be modified by using ‘food grease’. Slides used in high temp applications can be modified using high temp greases and we also supply Teflon free grease ideal for spray booths.
